The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is a computer based test which measures a person's analytical, writing, quantitative, verbal, and reading skills in English for being admitted into a graduate management program, namely the MBA.
More than 5,900 programs offered by more than 2,100 universities and institutions use the GMAT exam as part of the selection criteria for their programs. Business schools use the test as a criterion for admission into a wide range of graduate management programs, including MBA, Master of Accountancy, and Master of Finance programs. The GMAT exam is administered in approved test centers around the world.
GMAT Format

For the same fee, Test takers can submit the names of 5 B Schools that they wish to send their scores to. Does one have to be a graduate for taking the GMAT®? No. Anyone can take the GMAT exam irrespective of their educational qualification. How to register for the GMAT? You can register online or by phone or by mail. More information about registering for the GMAT® can be found at www.mba.com How many times in a year is the GMAT® exam held? GMAT® is conducted on all working days in India (ie, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday). How many times a year can I take the GMAT? Once every 16 calendar days and no more than five times in a 12-month period. 8 times in total (lifetime limit effective December 17, 2016). How long is the GMAT score valid? For 5 years from the test date. When do we get the scores? For the math, verbal and IR sections, immediately after the exam. However, official scores (with scores for the AWA section) take 20 days to reach. What will postponement/preponement of the exam date result in? If the test is rescheduled in excess of 7 days before the original test date an additional USD 50 will be charged. Rescheduling within 7 days of the original test date will cost an additional USD 250. What happens if the exam date is cancelled? If the test cancelled more than 7 days prior to the test date, a refund of USD 80 is given. If it is cancelled within 7 days of the test date, no refund is given. is better to reschedule than to cancel.
